The past two days have been pretty calm in C.F., luckily the water came back on yesterday. This was great news because I dropped my bottle of water in our room and it shattered all over the floor..of course this happened when there was no water available haha. It did allow for some make shift mopping of the floor when trying to sweep all the shards of glass up. Last night, the Velvet Underground Tavern held an American Super Bowl watch party from midnight-4am. The Italian version of this was a projection of the game on the wall but with a techno dj playing songs and bopping around. Very interesting. We also met the "town drunk" who looks like papa smurf. A lot of interesting characters out. We did get to see and hear the halftime show which was nice.

-set prices (as opposed to prices decided by cashier)

fun fact#1: The parents of Dean Martin are from Castiglion Fiorentino. His father was a barber here in town.
fun fact#2: I wear a watch daily now since I do not have a cell phone to check the time..very strange for me.

really good lunch, some sort of soup with beans, peppers..slightly spicy but good

main course to lunch: battered seafood with tomato topping, salad with green beans in it, hush puppy with cheese and potatoes inside. delicious!
