Castiglion Fiorentino hosts an outdoor market for vendors to come and set up for customers every Friday morning. This was our first time being in town for this event. It was near the study center in an open parking lot area. There were all kinds of products from vegetable/fruit vendors to clothing and miscellaneous items for 1 euro. I was able to get a larger garnier fructis shampoo and pantene conditioner for a good price. There were a lot more people than usual on the main corso who were gathering and talking throughout the morning. Later that day, we ventured on a hike up the hill to the castle. The path we took going there was extremely muddy and gross to walk in (not my favorite part...yuck). It was only about three miles but once we got to the top of the hill near the castle the views were phenomenal of the town and surrounding hills. Unfortunately, no one answered the door at the castle but we kind of expected that. There was a beware of dog sign and we heard barking only to see a tiny dog face poking out of a hole in the door..kinda funny. We went back a more paved way than we took there which was nice. It was quite the workout, I was pretty exhausted that night.
